Pediatric Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Program
The Pediatric Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Group is an integral part of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) care team. Comprised of Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and a Physician Assistant (PA), our APPs work shoulder-to-shoulder with physician colleagues and multidisciplinary team members to provide exceptional care for critically ill and injured children.
As fully integrated members of the Pediatric Critical Care team, APPs deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care across the full spectrum of PICU patients. They are actively involved in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, procedures, care coordination, and family communication, helping ensure seamless, high-quality care around the clock.
Beyond their clinical responsibilities, our APPs are committed to advancing pediatric critical care through engagement in research, patient safety initiatives, quality improvement efforts, education, and clinical innovation.
They collaborate across disciplines to identify opportunities to improve outcomes, enhance patient and family experiences, and promote best practices throughout the institution.
Our APPs are dedicated clinicians, educators, and advocates who bring specialized expertise, compassion, and leadership to every aspect of patient care. Through their contributions at the bedside and beyond, they play a vital role in fulfilling our mission to provide outstanding care for children and families during some of their most challenging moments.
