  • Must not be currently enrolled in a degree program.
  • Must plan to apply to a PhD program, dual degree program (e.g., MD/PhD), or another professional degree in biomedical science, data science, population health, public health, or a health professional relevant field after successful completion of U-M PRIME.

Application Details

Applicants must complete an online application which includes an essay portion, and provide electronic unofficial copies of college transcripts from all institutions attended, and three letters of recommendation. Unofficial transcripts from your undergraduate degree-granting institution uploaded into your application are sufficient for admission review.

However, please make sure you are submitting a copy of your transcript and not an advising report or grade print-out. The name of your prior institution, the courses you took, and the grades you received should all be clearly visible. If your degree has already been granted, a degree granted date should also be visible.

Applications for the September 1st, 2026 start date will be due on July 15th, 2026 at 11:59pm. Interviews will be conducted mid-late July  with decision notifications going out early August.
