Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
The U-M Medical School Department of Pediatrics' Division of Pediatric Pulmonology directs a Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at U-M Medical School. This three-year program fulfills the requirements of the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-board of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and is accredited by the Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
The goal of this program is to train outstanding academic pediatric pulmonologists – life-long learners who will be future leaders in the field. The training is broad in scope and includes a strong faculty, diverse inpatient and outpatient experiences, superb pulmonary function laboratory, and numerous educational and research opportunities.
The primary mentors are one of the thirteen faculty members in the division. Additional training is provided by our strong team of clinical staff that include nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dieticians, research staff, and respiratory therapists.

Program Overview
Our program offers unique features such as opportunities for blended training models (pulmonary-sleep, pulmonary-hospitalist medicine, etc). Our fellowship program will help fund and support fellows interested in one of our excellent longitudinal training programs:
- Medical Education Scholars Program
- Community of Medical Educators in Training
- Healthcare Administration Scholars Program
