Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship
The U-M Medical School Department of Pediatrics' Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics offers a three-year fellowship that fulfills the requirements of the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-board of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
It is accredited by the Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. This program is one of thirteen HRSA-MCHB funded fellowships.
Program Overview
The goal of our fellowship is to train future leaders in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) who will develop future innovations and educate the next generation of clinicians, researchers, and educators.
Clinical training and scholarly activities are distributed across all three years of fellowship. Fellows actively engage in broad range of clinical experiences, which include assessment and management of a variety of neurodevelopmental conditions, exposure to interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary models of care, as well as providing care in a variety of practice settings.
Additional educational opportunities include completion of LEND training through MI-LEND, with which we are affiliated. Scholarly activities include research, medical education, advocacy, and quality improvement. Curricular highlights include board preparation, trauma informed care and reflective supervision, as well as wellness. Overall, we offer our fellows a unique and individualized training experience with a wide array of learning opportunities and resources to expand their expertise.
