Pursue your professional goals as a physician or physician-scientist in private practice or academic medicine through broad-ranging non-accredited fellowship opportunities.

About Our Non-Accredited Fellowship Programs

Michigan Medicine’s 90+ non-accredited fellowship programs are highly selective and immersive, designed to give you countless opportunities to learn, discover, teach and practice at a top quaternary care center. Physicians who complete a non-ACGME accredited fellowship program may be eligible for national certification from corresponding specialty societies.

Our non-ACGME fellowship programs have a long and strong track record. Many have been in place for decades and have trained dozens of leading practitioners and investigators. You will benefit from autonomy to explore your passions and interests within the structure of each program, while being mentored by eminent clinicians and physician-scientists. Many fellowships combine:

  • Education (practical and didactic)

  • Rotations and clinical care

  • Original multidisciplinary research—scientific, clinical, translational, and/or health services

  • Advocacy and patient care

Our large case volume and expansive research portfolio offer unique training opportunities and responsibilities. As a fellow, you’ll do impactful work and make meaningful contributions.
