ABOUT RESIDENCIES & FELLOWSHIPS

More than 9,000 MDs, DOs, and MD/PhDs have completed their residencies and/or fellowships at the University of Michigan Medical School. That’s 9,000 individuals who have been able to take advantage of Michigan’s incredible array of resources in the areas of education, teaching, patient care and research.

Our training programs range from one to eight years. During this time, you’ll become an integral part of our diverse and dynamic Michigan Medicine community. We strive to, and pride ourselves on, creating an inclusive and equitable environment in which residents and fellows can work toward their goals and thrive.

Because our academic medical center is in close proximity to the U-M’s top professional schools, including Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Social Work, Business, Law and Engineering, opportunities for collaboration, involvement and exploration in your field are endless.
