The Division of General Medicine provides general and preventive medicine for adults at the Taubman Health Center, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and seven other clinics located in Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton, Northville and Saline. We treat patients in all aspects of their health including arthritis, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, gastroenterological diseases, infectious diseases and heart disease, and also provide preventive care such as immunizations, health counseling and sports physicals.

The Division of General Medicine is committed to providing superior and comprehensive education and training to students, residents and fellows, in the classroom and in our clinics. Our goal is to prepare all learners to become outstanding physicians and leaders in their fields. In addition, many of our faculty members help guide medical student education, holding leadership positions at the U-M Medical School, U-M Internal Medicine Residency Program and U-M Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation National Clinician Scholars Program.
