The University of Michigan Medical School Neuroanesthesiology fellowship is accredited through the International Council on Perioperative Neuroscience Training (ICPNT).
The 12-month fellowship program is designed to provide high quality subspecialty training and education in perioperative management of patients presenting for neurosurgical and neurointerventional radiology (NIR) procedures. The fellows also participate in translational and perioperative neuroscience research projects.
- Extensive clinical training in awake craniotomy, complex spine surgery, functional neurosurgery, neurointerventional procedures, intraoperative MRI and neurocritical care
- Formal rotations in intra-operative neurophysiologic monitoring, neuroradiology and neurocritical care
- Formal didactics (protected time), journal club and morning conferences, as well as access to all faculty development resources
- Opportunity to function as junior attending and actively participate in resident education
- Active participation in translational and perioperative neuroscience research projects
The Neuroanesthesiology Fellowship program at University of Michigan Medical School is accepting applications for a 12-month fellowship in Neuroanesthesia from interested graduating residents, board-eligible and board-certified anesthesiologists.
The applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident and enrolled in or graduated from an accredited anesthesiology residency program.
