Division of Urologic Oncology
Our division is comprised of fellowship-trained urologic oncologists with vast expertise covering all aspects of urologic care and offering personalized care.
Our division is recognized as a "Program of Excellence" within University of Michigan Health and ranked as a High Performing Hospital in prostate cancer surgery by U.S. News & World Report.
Our nationally recognized experts treat the following urologic conditions:
- Bladder/upper tract urothelial cancer
- Complicated kidney cancers
- High-risk prostate cancer
- Penile cancer
- Testis cancer
- Robotic prostatectomy
Patients are assessed as individuals by our urologic oncologists, as well as a team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists. This multidisciplinary approach allows for the design of specialized and personalized treatment plans that seek to optimize clinical outcomes. Specific approaches include:
- Nerve-sparing prostatectomy
- Robotic cystectomy and neobladder creation
- Retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy for testicular cancers
- Partial nephrectomy
- All phases of clinical trials for all stages of urologic cancers
Through the Brandon Prostate Cancer Survivorship Program, we seek to support patients with any issues that arise after they overcome prostate cancer.
