Prepare for Your Journey

Training in the U-M Medical School Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program means being an integral part of a highly collaborative environment where OBGYN leaders are deeply committed to providing an exceptional training experience.

Residents here are exposed to the full breadth and depth of obstetric and gynecologic training as they explore a variety of clinical, educational and research interests. We embrace the unique identities of our residents while empowering them to explore their professional identities and develop their ideal career trajectories.

Our goal is to prepare graduates to excel in the next phase of their journey, whether that is additional fellowship training or embarking on careers as private practice physicians, academic physicians or physician-scientists.

What Our Residents Are Saying

I chose Michigan Medicine due to the culture of family and caring. As a resident and fellow, I have people that I have developed a deep love and respect for. These people that I consider extended family and who have gone above and beyond to show support for me and my family. This isn't something you can replace or replicate.
