Overview

The India Platform spans a number of multi-disciplinary partnerships across some of the country’s leading institutions. The University of Michigan’s relationship with All India Institute of Medical Science, in New Delhi, stretches back to 2011 with more recent collaborations with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, in Kochi, and Manipal University, in Udupi City.

Partnerships focus on trauma and surgery, antimicrobial resistance, genetic research of developmental disorders, and more. Michigan Medicine’s Kellogg Eye Center has a longstanding relationship with India’s unique Aravind Eye Care Center and the Global Surgery Center recently entered into a new partnership with GVK, India’s primary ambulance service provider, that will focus on emergency response training.
