Gender Equity Professional Development Group
Mission Statement: Cultivating a Department of Emergency Medicine where people of every gender give and receive respect, support, safety and value, in order to create a culture when we can all thrive and provide equitable care.

Pop Up Safety Town
Our team works with Michigan Medicine's Injury Prevention Center, Concussion Center and Children's Emergency Services to bring injury prevention education to preschoolers and families.
This is typically accomplished through Head Start Preschools living in urban and rural communities with health disparities. Pop-Up Safety Town has been completed in Ypsilanti, Flint, Jackson, Addison, and Detroit this past year.
