Our first round of invitations will be sent via Interview Broker on/by Friday, October 11, 2024. We review applications on a rolling basis and send interview offers throughout the season. We will provide all applicants with a notice regarding their status with our program on/by Friday, December 13, 2024.

Keep in mind, the timing of an invitation is not indicative of your strength as an applicant — we send offers as we complete the process of thoroughly reviewing your entire application.

If you’re offered an interview, you’ll get an email at the address you entered in your ERAS application. Soon after, you’ll get a notification through the Interview Broker system so you may schedule your interview time.

We strongly encourage all of our applicants to show professionalism and respect for their peers during the interview season. As a result we will be utilizing the Interview Broker system to notify us if residents hold double-booked residency interviews beyond a 48 hour grace period.

We do not offer more invitations than we have open interview spots!

If you decide not to interview with us, we ask that you decline your interview offer with at least 2 weeks’ notice so we can offer the spot to another candidate.

We’re excited to meet you!

Emergency Medicine will host an optional, non-evaluative in-person event to provide an opportunity for applicants to see our facilities, meet with residents and faculty, and experience Ann Arbor.

Attendance will NOT be considered in the ranking decision. The program will have NO knowledge of who has signed up for the visit prior to submission of the program’s ROL.

Interview Dates

All interview dates are paired with an evening zoom social hosted by the EM Residents the day before each interview date. Additional details will be shared with you prior to your interview. We encourage you to attend the social events as they give you the opportunity to interact with our residents in a casual setting. If you cannot attend the social that coincides with your interview date, please email Tonya Thomas and she will assist with making sure we can find a date that works with your schedule!
