Inflammation

Faculty in the Immunology Graduate Program at the U-M Medical School have expertise in lung inflammation and in the pathogenesis of lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung fibrosis. We have expertise in mucosal inflammation and inflammatory bowel disease. Other areas of strengths are adipose tissue inflammation, diet-induced hematopoiesis, the influences of aging on inflammation, acute lung injury, sepsis, wound healing and tissue repair.
