Pioneering Cancer Research, Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders

The Cancer Biology PhD Program is dedicated to training the next generation of cancer researchers through a rigorous and dynamic graduate education. We achieve this goal by providing students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills that will allow them to tackle the most pressing problems associated with this disease. Drawing on the talents of faculty mentors who are leading experts in the field, together with the substantial resources of the University of Michigan Medical School and its NCI-designated Rogel Cancer Center, students pursue dissertation projects at the cutting edge of cancer biology.
