Maximizing Learning Opportunities
The CSC provides state-of-the-art simulation facilities and programs serving medical students and medical professionals to maximize learning opportunities while increasing patient safety via recurring courses, individualized training, small group or class practice.
Instructional methods and curriculum development are ongoing to ensure program and outcome evaluation are used to provide the best scenario for the transfer of skills to real-world clinical situations.
Medical Students, Residents & Fellows
The CSC supports the medical school curriculum beginning with the third-year clinical rotations and offers continuing simulation opportunities by specialty during the fourth year and for graduate medical education.
To guarantee a particular simulator is available, small groups or individuals should reserve in advance by contacting the UMCSC by email, [email protected], or telephone at 734-936-8305.
The iSim (Independent Simulation) room is available 24 hours every day, on a first come first serve basis, to medical and nursing students or faculty with approved access on their I.D. card.
Nursing
Michigan Medicine Nursing are among the largest groups of CSC visitors, utilizing the facility for a variety of orientation sessions. Professional development and education courses are also available to nursing professionals.
