Molecular & Integrative Physiology Undergraduate Summer Research Programs

Join us for an exciting summer research experience in Ann Arbor Michigan! Our 12-week undergraduate research experience is designed for undergraduate students seeking additional research experience outside of their home institutions. (Current U-M students are also eligible to apply.) Applications are especially encouraged from students with research experience who wish to pursue a PhD in the basic sciences.

Program Overview

Our three summer fellowship programs are for undergraduate students interested in physiology or biomedical sciences research. These programs are open to students from any university or college with a preference for those pursuing research careers. Students can be from diverse majors including biological sciences, engineering, computational sciences, physics, or mathematics.

During our summer program, fellows will:

  • Receive a summer stipend
  • Work in a Physiology lab with a mentor
  • Attend weekly research seminars, with topics on lab best practices and discussions of current faculty research
  • Engage in social, academic, and professional development sessions with other U-M summer program fellows
  • Present their research at the end of the 12 weeks to the department

Application submissions close Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 11:59pm.
