The Medical School Veterans and Military Medicine Interest Group (VMMIG) connects military-affiliated students and faculty within the U-M medical school, and supports students enrolled in US Departments of Defense and Veterans Health Administration health professions scholarship programs (HPSP).

VMMIG is further organized to promote the role of veterans in healthcare by assisting veteran medical school applicants; highlighting military and veteran health populations; and promoting civilian-military collaboration in healthcare.
