I chose to train at Michigan Surgery because among other top tier programs, Michigan set itself apart for me with its excellent case mix variety, unparalleled research opportunities, and the phenomenal group of people that comprise the Department. My research interest is in studying the unique challenges in the delivery of surgical care for rural patients and improving access, quality, and cost of surgical care for rural patients in the US.
