Dr. Pugashetti is an Instructor at the University of Michigan, in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. After receiving her undergraduate degree from UCLA, she went on to receive her medical degree, Internal Medicine training, and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at UC Davis. Dr. Pugashetti has also completed a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology. She provides expert care for patients with interstitial lung disease in both the Michigan Medicine Taubman Pulmonary Clinic, as well as the Taubman Rheumatology Clinic where she works closely alongside Rheumatology colleagues.
Dr. Pugashetti is interested in the intersection between autoimmune disease and lung disease. She is an emerging expert in connective tissue disease associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD) and focuses her research on developing predictive biomarkers to guide therapeutic selection, thereby improving outcomes for patients with CTD-ILD.
