    Dr. Amanda Kiely Bicket, MD, MSE is a a glaucoma and cataract specialist, focused on understanding and improving the quality of life of patients with glaucoma, developing new surgical devices, and incorporating minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques into surgical practice in an evidence-based fashion.

    Research Overview

    Dr. Bicket's research is in two primary areas: the first, patient-centered and patient-reported outcomes, specifically as they pertain to glaucoma surgery and clinical trial design, has been undertaken in collaboration with the American Glaucoma Society and the FDA, and has recently expanded to encompass study of mobility impairment in chronic eye disease; the second is development of a novel glaucoma surgical device for which the first U.S. based clinical trial will begin in 2026.
