    Research Overview

Dr. Admon's work applies modern methods for observational causal inference to improve acute care delivery and gain mechanistic insight into common critical illness syndromes like respiratory failure, pneumonia, sepsis, and COVID-19. His work focused on on care team coordination is funded by a K08 award from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. He is also engaged in the newly launched ARDS, pneumonia, and sepsis consortium, where he serves as a Co-investigator of the Great Lakes Clinical Center and co-chairs a scientific working group focused on emulating clinical trials of novel therapeutics and uncovering clinically relevant heterogeneity in illness and responses to treatment. Dr. Admon is also a collaborator on the PETAL Network’s BLUE CORAL characterizing patterns of recovery after COVID-related hospitalizations.
