    Sari Priesand, DPM is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes at the University of Michigan Medical School. She was raised in New York and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. After finishing her undergraduate program here at the University of Michigan, Dr. Priesand proceeded to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine to study podiatry, from which she graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Priesand completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, where she was the chief resident in her final year. She then completed her research fellowship in Limb Preservation, Wound Care, and Diabetes Related Lower Extremity Complications at the University of Michigan. The fellowship involves all areas of clinical medicine, with an emphasis on research, and patient populations at risk for limb loss. The program is a two-year program that includes clinical and research areas. Dr. Priesand is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
