    Dr. Gottlieb-Smith is a general child neurologist who treats patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College and completed her medical school training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She joined the University of Michigan faculty after completing pediatrics and child neurology residencies at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

    Dr. Gottlieb-Smith is passionate about medical education. She completed the Master of Health Professions Education program at the University of Michigan. She conducts qualitative research on medical student career development. She teaches in several longitudinal medical student courses. She is the Director of Education for the University of Michigan Pediatric Neurology Division, and serves as the Child Neurology Residency Program Director.
