Sachin Kheterpal, M.D., MBA, is the University of Michigan Medical School’s Associate Dean for Research Information Technology and the Kevin K. Tremper Professor of Anesthesiology. His career has been focused on the novel use of information technology, electronic health records, and mobile health for patient care, quality improvement and research. He leads the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG), a consortium of more than 60 Health Systems focused on observational research, quality improvement, and pragmatic clinical trials. Kheterpal also serves as an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) and a member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Novel and Exceptional Technology and Research Advisory Committee (NExTRAC).
