    Dr. Montoya received her medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and was a Chief Medical Resident at Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Montoya completed a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at the U-M Geriatrics Center. She received her Master in Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and her Master in Health and Healthcare Research from the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She obtained her medical director certification from the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Her clinical interests include delirium and dementia, management of chronic medical problems in older adults, and infection control in nursing homes.
