    Dr. Rakesh Patel is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Spine Surgery, with a cross appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2000, he earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, where he was awarded the Aventis Orthopedic Scholarship NYU-HJD Senior Research Award. After his residency, he pursued a one-year Spine Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin and recently completed an Executive MBA program at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
