About
Dr. Rothenberg is a podiatrist, a dually appointed Adjunct Clinical Associatet Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery and Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes at the University of Michigan Medical School. After graduating from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Rothenberg completed both his primary podiatry medical residency training and his podiatric surgical residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in 2000. Prior to joining the University of Michigan in 2015, he spent time in private practice and within the VA Healthcare System. His career path has always included academic teaching and he currently serves as the Director of Fellowship Training in Limb Preservation Research at Michigan Medicine.
I have chosen the clinician-individualized pathway as I have been fortunate to have a productive career that I believe, spans more than one designated area. My CV reflects scholarly activity, teaching, lecturing at the national and state levels, industry consulting, and community leadership. I hope the committee finds contributions and achievements in more than one specialized area.
