Dr. Schrepf is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in the University of Michigan Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center (CPFRC) and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Michigan Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at Cornell College and his doctorate in Psychology at the University of Iowa. His work focuses on the way the immune system influences the central nervous system in chronic pain, using dynamic blood-based markers of immune activity in conjunction with MRI. He is the PI (MPI) of three R01s focused on assessing the brain/immune interface in pelvic pain and other chronic pain conditions. He is a long-time member of the Biomarker working group in the NIDDK-funded MAPP research network, and a Co-Chair of the Biospecimens working group for the NIAMS-funded BACPAC research collaborative as well as several other HEAL initiative projects.
