Dr. Kraft conducts clinical research in cryptorchidism, pediatric genitourinary imaging, and pediatric urolithiasis. Her primary area of research is in surgical education, examining development of intraoperative autonomy and performance for surgical trainees as training programs prepare urology residents for safe, independent practice. She also studies how the growth of women in urology residency will impact the future urology workforce and the delivery of urologic care. She collaborates with the University of Michigan Center for Surgical Training and Research (C-STAR) and mentors fellows, residents, and medical students within University of Michigan and extramurally in their surgical education research
