    Dr. Moyer’s research focuses on the social and cultural factors that impact maternal and neonatal health outcomes, with a specific focus on women and newborns in sub-Saharan Africa. She has served as an investigator and partner on projects funded by the Fogarty International Center (FIC), the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She has co-led five FIC-funded training grants, and she has mentored more than 100 trainees from Ghana, Uganda, and the U.S. on research addressing maternal and newborn health.
