Hussein Almadhoun, MD, MSc

Hussein Almadhoun, MD is an assistant clinical professor in the department of internal medicine, Divisions of Geriatric Medicine and General Medicine. He received his geriatric medicine training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard program where he also participated as a clinical preceptor for Harvard Medical School students. He completed his internal medicine residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit where he engaged in providing medical education for students and interns. He also holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and master's degree in clinical pharmacy from University of Jordan. Prior to attending medical school at St. George's University School of Medicine, he worked as a consultant pharmacist gaining exposure in medication reviews, focusing on identifying Drug-Therapy Problems and providing clinical services to nursing homes. He is interested in improving quality of life for patients, reducing polypharmacy and creating new generation physician’s that provide passionate health care.

I’m interested in conducting research where I can leverage my expertise in pharmacy and medicine to help improve medication utilization and reduce polypharmacy.
