Dr. Wilson Sui was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He attended George School, a local quaker high school where he developed a passion for swimming, frisbee and football. He graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Biology and Economics and subsequently attended Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was selected as one of ten students to participate in the Columbia-Basset program where he developed an interest in quality improvement, longitudinal patient care and of course, Urology. During this time, Dr. Sui spent a productive year managing clinical trials and performing clinical outcomes research as a clinical research fellow with Dr. James McKiernan.
After graduating, Dr. Sui received his surgical/urological training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He then sought further sub-specialty training in endourology with Drs. Marshall Stoller and Thomas Chi at the University of California, San Francisco. His primary clinical interests include medical and surgical management of nephrolithiasis and benign prostatic hyperplasia. As a result of his fellowship training, he is one of few U.S. providers with expertise in “radiation-free” ultrasound guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy or ureteroscopy and holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), a minimally invasive surgical treatment for men with enlarged prostate.
Improving antibiotic stewardship, clinical outcomes, health services research, metabolic management of nephrolithiasis, development of novel surgical therapies
Clinical Interests: nephrolithiasis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, ureteral stricture disease; endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery; laser and acoustic fragmentation, metabolic management, minimally invasive surgical therapies for BPH
