    Dr. Jessica Barnes was born and raised in Ithaca, Michigan. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Michigan State University in 2016 and subsequently graduated medical school from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in 2021, where she graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Michigan in 2024, where she served as a co-chief resident. She completed her Academic Medicine Fellowship at the University of Michigan in 2025. She has experience in adult inpatient medicine and attends on the University Family Medicine (UFM) service at Michigan Medicine. She also has experience in chronic disease management, in particular dyslipidemia evaluation and management. She has a passion for caring for rural populations. Dr. Barnes sees patients at the Chelsea Health Center.
