    Jennifer Wang is currently a clinical instructor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She completed her PCCM fellowship here at the University of Michigan in 2023, where her research focused on using quantitative imaging and machine learning techniques to improve how we diagnose, phenotype, and predict progression in COPD and ILD under the mentorship of Dr. MeiLan Han and Dr. Justin Oldham. She is now using similar algorithms to study combined pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema (CPFE), a deadly syndrome for which there is a lack of rigorous disease definitions and imaging has strong potential to identify early disease and reduce diagnostic delay.
