About This Event
Presenter: Rashmi Madhukar, MBBS, MSc, Second Year PhD Student
This session is designed for new incoming students, as well as anyone who has been unable to attend previous meetings. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the club and a review of key concepts covered to date.
Topics will include:
- University of Michigan AI resources — an overview of available institutional resources and how to access them
- Staying current — strategies for keeping pace with a rapidly evolving AI landscape
- Key tools and concepts — a review of the most high-yield tools and concepts covered over the summer, and guidance on when to apply each, including effective literature searches and AI tools for coding
- AI anxiety — a candid discussion of a real and common experience among students and researchers
- Students as leaders in the AI revolution — exploring the role students can play in shaping how AI is used in research and education
All are welcome, regardless of prior experience with AI tools.
