U-M Family Medicine faculty head to NAPCRG for annual meeting

Topics will vary from young people’s health concerns, sexual health, clinical tools, and advancing research capacity.

Department of Family Medicine research and clinical faculty at the University of Michigan are excited to once again head to NAPCRG, North America’s largest family medicine and primary care research conference. The event runs from Friday, Nov. 21-Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

MyVoice members Catherine Frost and Alyssa Tisch et al will present their research, "Assessment of U.S. Youth Perspectives on Zero-Proof Alcohol" as a finalist for the Trainee Distinguished Research Session. This session highlights outstanding primary care research conducted by trainees. Presenters are selected from submissions to the SRF Call for Papers and invited to showcase their work in this special session. Awards will be presented to honor the top three research projects conducted by trainees, with the highest distinction, the Dr. Barbara Starfield Award, granted for the most outstanding completed project.

CASFM103: CASFM Participatory Health Research Workgroup 

The Participatory Research in Primary Care Work Group, co-led by P. Paul Chandanabhumma, Ph.D., MPH, promotes collaborative research partnerships among patients, communities, and stakeholders to advance participatory approaches, support researchers, and advocate for related policies in primary care.
