Be Part of the Legacy
Being an alumnus of the University of Michigan Medical School is more than just a footnote in your professional history — it's an opportunity to carry on the institution's legacy and commitment to excellence. With more than 20,000+ graduates worldwide, you are part of a global community that strives to improve the well-being of humankind through the practice of medicine and the conduct of research.
The Michigan Medicine Alumni Society, was established in 1960 to support that very community. Our mission is to provide fertile ground for U-M Medical School alumni to connect with, befriend and learn from one another. Graduates of the Medical School and/or medical science programs in the Rackham Graduate School, former residents and fellows, and current and emeritus faculty comprise our members.
History
The Michigan Medicine Alumni Society (MMAS) was founded in 1960 as an affiliate of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. MMAS was one of the first alumni societies at U-M whose membership consisted of graduates of a particular school or college.
MMAS has constantly evolved and adapted to meet our goal of serving the needs of the U-M Medical School students and alumni. Our mission continues to focus on building, connecting, and supporting the family of medicine at U-M.
