Credentials
Education: BS Biochemistry, Universidad Nacional De Asuncion, Paraguay. | Master's: Human Genetics, University of Michigan
Research Interests
I am a PhD candidate working in Dr. Shigeki Iwase's lab, where my research is centered on unraveling the role of a chromatin remodeling protein, PHF21A, in herpesvirus infections (HCMV and HSV-1) during neurogenesis. To accomplish this, I utilize human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) that are differentiated into neurons, employing a range of techniques including plaque assays along with molecular methods such as RT-qPCR, Western blotting, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and subsequent analyses.
