Research Interests
During lung injury, Type II Alveolar Epithelial Cells (AEC2s) can proliferate and differentiate into Type I Alveolar Epithelial Cells (AEC1s) to restore the alveolar epithelium. My project seeks to identify novel molecular pathways that regulate AEC2-to-AEC1 differentiation.
