Efe Chantal Ghanney Simons, MD

I am originally from Ghana and completed urology residency at UCLA prior to joining the University of Michigan family. I have a deep-rooted interest in equity in medical education locally and globally. My research focuses on identifying barriers and facilitators to access to careers in medicine/surgery/urology for individuals who identify as Under-Represented in Medicine (URiM), from low socioeconomic status (SES) backgrounds and/or who identify as first generation learners.
