Akshay is from Troy, MI and completed his undergrad in Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research develops vision-language AI systems that translate medical images into clinically useful insights, alongside rigorous methods to assess their safety and interpretability in patient care. In his downtime, he enjoys hosting board game nights and refining his chana masala recipe.
