I am a Board-Certified Emergency Physician at Michigan Medicine with over 2 decades of experience. My professional goal is to deliver scientifically proven appropriate care to all my patients in a respectful, compassionate, and inclusive manner. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, came to the mainland for my undergraduate studies and stayed for postgraduate and professional life. My current goal is to use Artificial Intelligence in an ethical and inclusive manner to expand the services we offer to all our patients, even those who cannot travel to a major university center. I am committed to improving healthcare access to the underserved in our communities, especially in Puerto Rico and its associated islands. I strongly believe that good medical care should not depend on location, race or religious affiliation and we need to work together to mitigate any barriers to care.
