Dr. Linares obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Michigan and his medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Linares completed his fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. During his fellowship he became well versed in taking care of a wide range of sports injuries from adolescent to professional athletes as he was involved with the medical care of local surrounding high schools, colleges, the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and has a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Linares is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Alongside the research that Dr. Linares has completed he has been awarded several orthopaedic United States Patents for his work in the field. Dr. Linares treats athletic injuries and illness at MedSport Domino Farms and Brighton Health Center.
