Since our first graduates completed the MSTP in the 1980s, they have achieved leadership roles in health centers, classrooms and laboratories here and across the country. The University of Michigan Medical Scientist Training Program is a unique experience beyond just a simple pairing up of MD and PhD degrees. As a Michigan MSTP fellow, you are actively engaged in a wholly integrated clinical and academic program that is designed to not only prepare you to excel in your career as a physician scientist, but also welcome you into a dynamic and collegial community for life.
