The University of Michigan Department of Emergency Medicine is proud to welcome its incoming intern class following Match Day 2026. This exceptional group of residents joins us from medical schools across the country, bringing diverse experiences, strong clinical foundations, and a shared commitment to advancing emergency care.

"The announcement of our new residents is always a special time and marks a very special trust," said Laura Hopson, MA, MEd, Associate Chair of Education and Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine. "We are thrilled to welcome our new interns onto the team!"

As they begin their training at Michigan Medicine, these physicians will develop the skills and perspective needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. Together, they will contribute to the department’s vision: Together, We Define Emergency Care.
