I am interested in investigating neuronal and glial contributions to peripheral neuropathy in polyglutamine repeat expansion diseases. Particularly, I focus on mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration in the peripheral nervous system with a special interest in neuroinflammatory pathways and developing preventative pharmacological therapies.
