Being the best means maintaining an outstanding curriculum paired with a dynamic approach that allows students to gain a deeper understanding of every part of neuroscience. More than 160 faculty members are united in this program, from all parts of the University of Michigan, including the:

- School of Kinesiology
- School of Nursing
- School of Public Health
These diverse leaders hold appointments in more than 30 departments or institutes. Students learn from integrative and interdisciplinary courses, weekly seminars, symposia and journal clubs.
Our strong curriculum isn’t our only strength. It’s our incredible student body and culture that truly set the program apart. Together, they focus on understanding the complexity of the nervous system.
Our curriculum and culture set graduates up for success. In fact, more than 250 accomplished alumni work in nearly all science-related jobs worldwide. They work across the spectrum from academic and industrial research to development, innovation, biotechnology and science policy.
