Nearly 200 Medical School faculty members earned promotions in the 2024 cycle. Their new appointments were approved May 16 by the U-M Board of regents and take effect Sept. 1, 2024.

The highest number of promotions are in the clinical associate professor rank (72), followed by clinical professor (33), associate professor (32), professor (26) and research assistant professor (11). Thirteen faculty in the research scientist cohort, including at the associate and assistant levels, were promoted.
