Swap and shop: 3 events and new campus site aid research equipment exchange
A series of swap events, and a new swap shop now open on Central Campus, have led to the collection and exchange of hundreds of items, which often are acquired by labs to realize costs savings in their areas. They also support UMMS and U-M waste-reduction goals, which are part of an overall sustainability strategy. Most of the items now go to labs that need them, rather than to a landfill

The Board of Regents approved the appointments July 18 for Professor of Molecular and Integrative Physiology Roger D. Cone, Ph.D., and Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering Jeffrey A. Fessler, Ph.D., to one of U-M’s most prestigious honors: the Distinguished University Professorship (DUP).

The 2024-25 Doximity Residency Navigator has been released. It shows that U-M has six top 5 medical education programs, with nine more in the top 10 and another nine in the top 25.

With their findings now published, they hope to use this data to destigmatize conversations about physician mental health and pave the way for better cultural and institutional support.
